AI Statement
Transparency on the use of artificial intelligence · Last updated: August 3, 2026
Purpose of this statement
This page documents how and where artificial intelligence is used on courses.graphwiz.ai. It fulfils the transparency obligations of the EU Artificial Intelligence Act (Regulation (EU) 2024/1689), in particular Art. 50 (transparency) and Art. 4 (AI literacy). Responsible: Tobias Weiss IT-Services, Grundstraße 69, 78628 Rottweil, Germany.
No prohibited or high-risk AI
This platform uses no AI practices prohibited under Art. 5 EU AI Act and operates no high-risk AI systems within the meaning of Annex III. In particular, no biometric identification, no emotion recognition, no social scoring and no profiling of individuals takes place.
Where AI is used
- AI Tutor. When you answer a practice question incorrectly, the AI Tutor generates a personalised explanation for that question. The interaction is clearly labelled as AI-generated at the point of use (Art. 50 para. 1 EU AI Act), and a human-written fallback explanation is always available. You can disable it; it processes only the question and your answer. The AI Tutor uses the OpenAI gpt-4o-mini model via the OpenAI API as a processor.
- Adaptive practice engine. Question order and difficulty adapt to your learning progress. The adaptation is based solely on your answers and serves your learning progress — no profiling, no personal data.
- Content creation. Study guides, question banks and explanations are created with AI assistance. Every item is reviewed, fact-checked and approved by domain experts before publication.
- Software development. This website is developed and maintained with AI coding agents. All code is reviewed, tested and released by the operator.
Human oversight
Every AI output on this platform is subject to human oversight. AI Tutor explanations are optional, clearly marked as AI-generated, and always accompanied by a human-written, expert-reviewed fallback. All study guides, question banks and explanations are reviewed and fact-checked by domain experts before publication, in line with Art. 50 para. 2 EU AI Act (identifiable machine-generated content).
Your data and AI
- No personal data is used to train AI models.
- The AI Tutor receives only the question text and your answer — no name, no account data.
- Data is processed by OpenAI solely to generate the requested explanation (see the privacy policy).
- The platform uses privacy-friendly analytics only.
AI literacy
In accordance with Art. 4 EU AI Act, the operator maintains AI literacy — continuously educating themselves about the functioning, limitations and risks of AI systems — and applies this knowledge to the operation of this platform.
